How Should Mine Reclamation Design Effectively Respond to Climate Change? A Mini Review Opinion

چکیده
Climate change is a growing concern with each of the last three decades being successively warmer than preceding decades. Mine wastes are mandatory required to be reclaimed after mine operation due their high risks contaminating environment and huge volumes occupying large useable land resources. However, most traditional reclamation plans designed an assumption unchanged, consistent conditions environment, climate hydrology conditions, which may not work properly under global change. This paper discussed previously ignored problem that how design should effectively respond Through reviewing current responding strategy during closure, this mini review was structured, opinion concluded more active designers consider factors change, manageable, predictable sustainable ecosystem landscape are. Nature-based solutions can act as general guidelines when considering reclamation, six-step framework aims specifically on reclamation. The two methods together help regulators planning closure.

How do polar marine ecosystems respond to rapid climate change?
Climate change will alter marine ecosystems; however, the complexity of the food webs, combined with chronic undersampling, constrains efforts to predict their future and to optimally manage and protect marine resources. Sustained observations at the West Antarctic Peninsula show that in this region, rapid environmental change has coincided with shifts in the food web, from its base up to apex ...
متن کاملHow should editors respond to plagiarism ? COPE
This paper aims to stimulate discussion about how editors should respond to plagiarism. Different types of plagiarism are described in terms of their: extent, originality of the copied material, context, referencing, intention, author seniority, and language. Journal responses to plagiarism are also described including: educating authors, contacting authors’ institutions, issuing corrections, a...
متن کاملHarbour porpoises respond to climate change
The effects of climate change on marine ecosystems and in particular on marine top predators are difficult to assess due to, among other things, spatial variability, and lack of clear delineation of marine habitats. The banks of West Greenland are located in a climate sensitive area and are likely to elicit pronounced responses to oceanographic changes in the North Atlantic. The recent increase...
متن کاملExtreme Weather Events and Climate Variability Provide a Lens to How Shallow Lakes May Respond to Climate Change
Shallow lakes, particularly those in low-lying areas of the subtropics, are highly vulnerable to changes in climate associated with global warming. Many of these lakes are in tropical cyclone strike zones and they experience high inter-seasonal and inter-annual variation in rainfall and runoff. Both of those factors strongly modulate sediment–water column interactions, which play a critical rol...
